The 3RA2130-4KA38-0AP0 measures 274 mm tall by 55 mm wide by 150 mm deep — that depth is the key constraint for shallow enclosures, not the width. It mounts via screw and snap-on to two 35 mm DIN rails, so plan for a twin-rail section in the panel layout. Clearance requirements: 50 mm upwards, 32 mm forwards, 10 mm downwards, 10 mm at the side. Backwards clearance is zero — the unit sits flush against the backplane. Vertical or horizontal mounting position is acceptable.
Rated current and trip coordination — AC-3 and Class 10
That means it handles standard and IE3/IE4 motor starting currents without derating. At 480 V the rating drops to 65 A; at 600 V it's 62 A. The overload is thermal, not electronic, so no auxiliary power is needed for the protection function. Rated insulation voltage is 690 V, and the operating frequency is 50/60 Hz. The substance prohibition date of 03/01/2017 indicates RoHS compliance per Siemens' declaration.
