The Class 10 trip class gives you a standard thermal protection curve for motors that reach full speed within 10 seconds — covers most pump, fan, and compressor loads you'd see in a panel. The bimetal overload release tracks motor heating directly, so you don't need a separate overload relay downstream.
Mounting and panel fit — S2 frame on dual DIN rails
This starter mounts with screws or snaps onto two parallel 35 mm DIN rails — the S2 frame is wide enough at 55 mm that the dual-rail footprint keeps it stable under vibration and contactor chatter. Panel clearance: 150 mm depth, 274 mm height, with 50 mm upwards and 32 mm forwards clearance for wiring and arc venting. Mounting position is vertical or horizontal, so you can lay it into a shallow enclosure if needed.
