SIRIUS reversing starter, Size S00 — busbar-mounted motor reversing
The Siemens 3RA2210-0EH15-2BB4 is a SIRIUS reversing starter in Size S00, designed to snap directly onto 60 mm busbar systems — no separate DIN-rail adapter needed for the main power feed. It ships as a factory-assembled unit containing the contactor 3RT2015-2BB42, the link module 3RA2911-2AA00, and the RS assembly kit 3RA2913-1DB2 — one order code covers the reversing pair and the mechanical interlock. The 90 kW rating at 400 V applies to the contactor's motor-switching capacity in this configuration. The thermal bimetallic overload release is set to Trip Class 10 — it protects standard squirrel-cage motors during start-up without nuisance tripping on normal acceleration.
Mounting clearances and panel fit
Dimensions are 155 mm deep, 90 mm wide, 260 mm high. The vertical mounting position is mandatory — the bimetallic trip curve assumes upright orientation for natural convection. Required clearances: 50 mm above, 32 mm in front, 10 mm below, 10 mm at each side, and 0 mm behind (the busbar mount takes the back plane). These gaps must be maintained for arc containment and cooling airflow.
Environmental and compliance documentation
Operating temperature range is -20 to +60 °C; storage and transport range is -50 to +80 °C. The -20 °C floor is common for unheated plant areas — the bimetallic element compensates across the full band. RoHS compliance date is 10 January 2009, covering the EU RoHS recast. The part carries no PROFIsafe or PROFINET IO protocol — it is a hard-wired reversing starter, not a fieldbus slice.
