The Siemens 3RA2210-0KA15-2AP0 is a SIRIUS reversing starter in Size S00, combining two contactors with a mechanical and electrical interlock in a single housing. The supplied contactor is a 3RT2015-1AP02, and the link module 3RA1921-1DA00 provides the interlock — no field assembly of separate reversing contactors required. This saves panel space and wiring time compared to building a reversing pair from individual contactors.
Trip Class 10 and thermal overload protection
For longer ramp times (centrifuges, high-inertia loads), a Class 20 or 30 starter would be needed. The operating temperature range of -20 to +60 °C covers most indoor and outdoor enclosure environments without derating for ambient heat.
DIN rail mounting and panel clearance
Mounts vertically on 35 mm DIN rail via screw and snap-on fastening — the screw provides positive retention in high-vibration panels, while the snap-on allows quick removal. Dimensions are 90 mm wide (5.25 TE), 170 mm tall, and 97 mm deep. Clearance requirements: 50 mm above, 32 mm in front, 10 mm below, 10 mm at the sides, and 0 mm behind. The 50 mm upward clearance is critical for wiring access to the screw terminals on the main current circuit.
