Reversing Starter for 60 mm Busbar Systems
The Siemens 3RA2210-1DH15-2BB4 is a SIRIUS reversing starter in size S00, designed to snap onto 60 mm busbar systems. It integrates a reversing contactor pair and a circuit-breaker into a single, pre-assembled unit, saving panel space and wiring time compared to building the reversing circuit from discrete components. The supplied contactor is a 3RT2015-2BB42, and the supplied link module is a 3RA2911-2AA00 — the assembly is factory-tested and ready to mount. The main circuit uses spring-loaded terminals, so no screwdriver torque check is needed on the power connections.
Trip Class 10 and AC-3 Ratings
Trip Class 10 means the overload relay will trip within 10 seconds at 7.2× the set current — standard for general-purpose motor starting where the acceleration time is under 10 seconds. For longer ramp times (fans, flywheels), a Class 20 or 30 device would be needed; this part is sized for normal-duty starts. The AC-3 rating at 400 V is 3.2 A, which corresponds to a 1.1 kW (1.5 hp) motor at 400 V three-phase. The same 3.2 A holds at 480 V and 600 V AC-3, making the current limit the binding constraint, not the voltage. At 575/600 V the motor rating is 3 hp, per the datasheet. The coil is rated 24 V DC, a common control voltage for PLC-driven panels. No PROFIsafe or PROFINET IO protocol is integrated — this is a conventional reversing starter, not a fieldbus-controlled motor starter.
Mounting position is vertical only. The unit snaps onto 60 mm busbar systems — common in Siemens SIRIUS distribution panels. Clearance requirements: 50 mm upward, 32 mm forward, 10 mm downward, 10 mm at the side, and 0 mm backward. The overall dimensions are 260 mm high, 90 mm wide, and 155 mm deep. Temperature compensation is active across the operating range, so the overload trip curve stays accurate without manual adjustment.
