What this reversing starter fits — and what it doesn't
The 3RA2210-1FH15-2AP0 is a SIRIUS reversing starter in Size S00, designed to snap onto 60 mm busbar systems — not a DIN rail mount, not a panel screw-down. If your panel is built around standard 35 mm DIN rail, this part needs an adapter or a different frame. It ships as a complete assembly: the supplied contactor is a 3RT2015-2AP02, and the link module is 3RA2911-2AA00. That means the reversing interlock and mechanical linkage are pre-configured — no separate wiring of a mechanical interlock between two contactors. The main circuit terminals are spring-loaded, not screw-clamp. That's fine for solid and ferruled stranded wire up to the rated cross-section, but if your shop standard is ring-tongue crimp lugs, you'll need to adapt or swap the terminal type.
Motor ratings — the numbers that decide the BOM line
For 230 V systems, it's 1.5 hp at 220/230 V or 0.5 hp at 230 V rated value — the lower horsepower at 230 V reflects the current-limited design of the S00 frame. That's standard for general-purpose motor starting — not for high-inertia loads that need a Class 20 or 30 curve. The operating temperature range is -20 to +60 °C, and the storage range is -50 to +80 °C — typical for a panel-mounted device in a conditioned enclosure.
Mounting clearances — where it sits in the enclosure
Physical dimensions are 155 mm deep, 90 mm wide, and 260 mm tall. Mounting is vertical only, and the clearance requirements are: 50 mm upwards, 32 mm forwards, 10 mm downwards, 10 mm at the side, and 0 mm backwards (it sits flush against the busbar). That 50 mm upward gap is the one that catches people — if you stack a busbar-fed starter below another device, you need that clearance for heat dissipation and wiring access.
