Reversing starter for S00 load feeders
The 3RA2210-1KD17-2AP6 is a non-fused reversing motor starter from the Siemens SIRIUS family, built in the S00 frame size. It combines a contactor and a thermal bimetallic overload relay in one unit, wired for reversing duty — forward and reverse contactors interlocked mechanically and electrically. Rated motor power spans from 0.5 hp at 110/120 V up to 10 hp at 575/600 V, with the 400 V rating at 5.5 kW. The AC-3 switching voltage maxes out at 690 V, covering most low-voltage three-phase motor circuits.
CLASS 10 thermal overload — what it means for motor protection
For a motor that starts under load — conveyor, crusher, pump — this is the standard class; it clears a stalled rotor fast enough to keep the motor winding within its thermal limit while tolerating normal acceleration. The overload release is thermal bimetallic, so it tracks the motor's I²t heating curve without an external CT. Ambient compensation is built in for the -20 to +60 °C operating range.
Snap-on busbar mounting and panel clearances
Mounts by snapping onto 60 mm busbar systems — no screws or DIN rail adapter needed. The mounting position is vertical only; horizontal mounting is not supported. Dimensions: 200 mm height, 90 mm width, 155.1 mm depth. Clearance requirements: 20 mm upwards, 10 mm downwards, 9 mm at the side, zero forwards and backwards. Pollution degree 3 means it handles conductive dust and humidity typical of industrial control panels.
Active production — sourcing posture
The unit ships with the contactor 3RT2017-1AP62 and link module 3RA1921-1DA00 pre-assembled. RoHS compliance date is 03/01/2017.
