The 3RA2210-1KS17-2BB4: This is a Siemens SIRIUS reversing starter, size S00, combining a contactor pair and link module in a single package for forward/reverse motor control. It ships with the supplied contactor 3RT2017-2BB42 and link module 3RA2911-2AA00 — the reversing function is pre-wired internally, so you land the motor leads and control wires without building the interlock circuit yourself. The Class 10 trip curve means it will hold through a normal start but trip before the motor windings overheat on a stalled rotor — the standard for most general-purpose motor protection. The coil is 24 V DC, which keeps the control transformer small and avoids the inrush sag you get with AC coils on long cable runs.
Mounting and panel fit
Designed for snapping onto 60 mm busbar systems — the mounting foot clips directly onto the busbar without a separate adapter. Mounting position is vertical only; the 155 mm depth, 90 mm width, and 230 mm height define the envelope, with 50 mm clearance required above, 32 mm forward, and 10 mm at the sides and below. Operating temperature range is -20 to +60 °C, with storage and transport tolerance from -50 to +80 °C. The temperature compensation is specified over the same -20 to +60 °C band — the thermal trip element adjusts for ambient changes so the motor protection stays accurate whether the panel is in a conditioned room or a hot factory bay.
