S00 reversing starter — what ships inside
The 3RA2215-1BA16-2BB4: This is a pre-assembled SIRIUS reversing starter combining a contactor, a thermal overload relay, and a mechanical interlock in one S00-frame package. The supplied contactor is a 3RT2016-1BB42 and the link module is a 3RA1921-1DA00 — both factory-integrated, so the reversing interlock timing is set and the wiring between the contactor and overload is internal. The thermal overload release is bimetallic, Class 10 trip — it protects standard motors against sustained overload without nuisance tripping on normal starting current.
Panel fit and mounting clearances
Dimensions are 170 mm high, 90 mm wide, 97 mm deep. Mounts vertically on 35 mm DIN rail via the snap-on foot or with screws through the mounting base — both methods are supported. The required clearances around the unit are: 50 mm above, 32 mm in front, 10 mm at the sides, 10 mm below, and 0 mm behind (the back sits flush against the mounting surface). Main circuit connections use screw-type terminals — torque them to the value printed on the contactor label. The S00 frame keeps the footprint compact for high-density panel layouts where multiple starters share a DIN rail.
Environmental limits and storage
Storage and transport tolerance spans -50 °C to +80 °C — the unit can sit in an unheated warehouse or truck without damage. The control supply is 24 V DC (24... 24 V rated value).
