SIRIUS S00 reversing starter — what it covers
The 3RA2215-1DA15-2BB4: This is a SIRIUS non-fused reversing motor starter, size S00, combining a 3RT2015-1BB42 contactor with a thermal bimetallic overload relay in one package. The reversing contactor pair handles forward/reverse control without an external interlock — the link module 3RA1921-1DA00 ties the mechanical interlock. Rated for AC-3 switching duty up to 690 V, 50/60 Hz, with a Class 10 trip curve. At 480 V it carries 2.8 A (1.5 hp), at 600 V it carries 3.16 A (2 hp). The thermal overload release is field-adjustable and covers the lower end of the S00 motor range.
Mounting and panel fit — S00 footprint
Snaps onto 35 mm DIN rail (EN 60715) or screws to a backplate with the push-in lug. The S00 frame body measures 170 mm high × 90 mm wide × 97.1 mm deep. Vertical mounting position only — the bimetallic trip curve is calibrated for upright orientation. Clearance requirements: 20 mm upwards, 10 mm downwards, 9 mm at the side. Zero clearance forwards or backwards — the contactor arc chamber and the overload relay both vent through the front face, so no extra breathing gap is needed. The control circuit is 24 V nominal.
Environmental limits and approvals
Operating temperature range -20 to +60 °C; storage -50 to +80 °C; transport -55 to +80 °C. Pollution degree 3 — suitable for industrial environments with conductive dust or intermittent condensation.
