Reversing starter for a 60 mm busbar panel — what's inside
The 3RA2215-1DD15-2BB4: This is a SIRIUS non-fused reversing motor starter, size S00, built as a factory-assembled unit that combines a 3RT2015-1BB42 contactor, a thermal bimetallic overload relay (CLASS 10), and a reversing link module in one package that snaps onto a 60 mm busbar system. The overload design is thermal bimetallic — CLASS 10 trip class means it will disconnect a locked-rotor motor within 10 seconds at cold start, standard for general-purpose induction motors up to the rated horsepower.
Motor power coverage — 0.1 hp to 2 hp across common line voltages
The AC-3 switching voltage is rated up to 690 V, so it handles 400 V, 480 V, and 575 V line without derating the contactor's switching capacity.
Mounting and panel fit — snaps onto 60 mm busbar, vertical only
The fastening method is designed for snapping onto 60 mm busbar systems, with a mounting position that must be vertical — the unit is 90 mm wide, 155.1 mm deep, and 200 mm tall. Clearance requirements: 20 mm upward, 10 mm downward, 9 mm at the side, 0 mm forward and backward — tight panel layouts can use the zero forward clearance to pack the starter against a door or cover. The supplied busbar adapter (8US1251-5DS10) and link module (3RA1921-1DA00) are included in the assembly, so no separate ordering of those pieces.
Environmental limits and compliance
Operation temperature range is -20 to +60 °C; storage range is -50 to +80 °C; transport range is -55 to +80 °C — suitable for unheated warehouses and truck shipping in most climates. Degree of pollution 3 means the starter is rated for industrial environments with conductive dust or occasional condensation — no need for an additional conformal coating inside the panel.
