Reversing starter in S00 frame — what fits
The 3RA2215-1GA15-2BB4: This is a SIRIUS 3RA2 non-fused reversing motor starter, size S00, meaning the contactor, overload relay, and reversing link come as a single assembly that snaps onto DIN rail or screws in with an optional push-in lug. The vertical mounting position is specified, so plan the gland plate accordingly — the 170 mm height and 90 mm width leave 97.1 mm of depth into the enclosure. Clearance around the unit matters: 20 mm upwards, 10 mm downwards, 9 mm at the side, and zero forwards or backwards. That 20 mm top gap is the one most panels skimp on — without it the bimetallic overload can't shed heat properly. The supplied contactor is a 3RT2015-1BB42, and the link module is 3RA1921-1DA00 — both are captive in the assembly, so there's no separate ordering for the reversing interlock.
Motor duty and thermal protection
Rated AC-3 (motor switching) up to 690 V, 50-60 Hz. At 400 V it's rated 2 200 W, at 500 V it's 3 000 W. The current at 480 V is 4.8 A, at 600 V it's 6.1 A — these are the numbers to use for conductor sizing and SCCR coordination. Assignment type 1 coordination means the starter can be used on a circuit with a short-circuit protective device sized per the manufacturer's tables, without damage to the starter beyond acceptable limits. Pollution degree 3 suits industrial environments with conductive dust or moisture.
Coil voltage and wiring
The coil is 24 V — no suffix for AC/DC is stated, but the SIRIUS 3RA2 series typically uses a universal coil that handles both. Operating temperature range is -20 to +60 °C, storage is -50 to +80 °C, transport is -55 to +80 °C — fine for most panel environments but check if the panel ambient near a hot process exceeds 60 °C.
