90 mm wide, 97.1 mm deep — panel fit for a reversing starter
The 3RA2215-1HA16-2AK6: This is a Siemens SIRIUS 3RA2 non-fused reversing motor starter, size S00, that integrates the contactor and overload relay into one package for forward/reverse control of a three-phase motor. The enclosure footprint is 90 mm wide, 170 mm tall, and 97.1 mm deep — that 90 mm width is two standard DIN-rail modules (45 mm each), so it eats two slots on the rail. The depth means it clears a 100 mm deep enclosure back wall with a few mm to spare for wiring gutters. Mounting is snap-on to a 35 mm DIN rail, or screw-mount with an optional push-in lug. The specified mounting position is vertical, and the clearance around the unit is 20 mm upwards, 10 mm downwards, and 9 mm at the sides — plan for those gaps in a dense panel to avoid heat buildup and to get a screwdriver in for the terminals.
690 V AC-3, Class 10 trip — motor duty ratings
At 400 V it is rated for 3 kW; at 480 V it delivers 7.6 A; at 600 V it is 6.33 A. The horsepower equivalents run from 1 hp at 230 V up to 5 hp at 460/480 V and 575/600 V. Trip class is Class 10 — that means the overload relay trips within 10 seconds at 600% of the set current. Class 10 is standard for standard-duty motor starting (pumps, fans, conveyors) where the acceleration time is under a few seconds. It is not for high-inertia loads that need a longer start — those want Class 20 or 30. The supplied contactor (3RT2016-1AK62) and the link module are matched to the S00 frame size, so the reversing assembly is coordinated for the 690 V AC-3 rating.
Active production — sourced to order
The SIRIUS 3RA2 series is an established platform, so spare parts and accessories (link modules, auxiliary contact blocks, busbar systems) are widely available. The 3RA1921-1DA00 link module that ships with this starter is a standard S00 accessory.
