What this reversing starter carries
The Siemens 3RA2215-1JA16-2AP6 is a non-fused reversing motor starter from the SIRIUS family, size S00. Rated operational voltage goes to 690 V maximum, with motor power ratings of 5 hp at 460/480 V and 7.5 hp at 575/600 V. The coil is tapped for 187–242 V at 50 Hz and 192–264 V at 60 Hz. This is a reversing starter — two contactors interlocked to swap two phases, so the motor runs forward or reverse without an external reversing contactor pair. The supplied contactor is a 3RT2016-1AP62; the link module is 3RA1921-1DA00.
Mounting position is vertical only. Size S00 footprint: 90 mm wide, 170 mm tall, 97.1 mm deep. Clearance required: 20 mm above, 10 mm below, 9 mm at the sides, zero forwards or backwards. Operating temperature range is -20 to +60 °C; storage from -50 to +80 °C; transport down to -55 °C. Main contact wiring accepts stranded 0.5–4 mm² solid, or 2×(0.75–2.5 mm²) for looping through.
