Active production — reversing starter, pre-assembled
The 3RA2215-1KA17-2AK6: It ships as a pre-assembled unit including the 3RT2017-1AK62 contactor and the 3RA1921-1DA00 link module — not a kit of loose components — so panel assembly time is reduced to snapping it onto the DIN rail and wiring the power and control terminals.
Reversing duty and motor sizing envelope
The reversing starter design integrates two contactors mechanically interlocked, so a single device handles forward/reverse control of a three-phase motor without external interlocking relays or contactor pairs.
Trip Class 10 and thermal overload — no programming needed
The overload release is thermal bimetallic — field-adjustable with a dial, no software or electronic trip curve to configure. This suits MRO and commissioning environments where a technician needs to set the FLA quickly without a programming tool.
Panel fit — S00 frame, DIN rail or screw mount
Size S00 is the smallest SIRIUS load feeder frame — 90 mm wide, 170 mm tall, 97.1 mm deep — so it occupies roughly the same panel footprint as a contactor-and-overload pair but in a single reversing package. Mounting is snap-on to 35 mm DIN rail (EN 60715) or screw-mounted with an additional push-in lug. The vertical mounting position is specified — horizontal mounting would alter the thermal overload calibration. Clearance requirements: 20 mm upwards, 10 mm downwards, 9 mm at the sides, and 0 mm forwards/backwards — the zero forward clearance means the front face can be flush against an enclosure door or cover.
