Reversing starter with Class 10 bimetallic overload
The Siemens 3RA2215-4AA18-2AP6 is a SIRIUS reversing motor starter — a pre-assembled combination of two contactors and a thermal overload relay in one S00 frame package. It switches motor direction without external interlocking wiring.
Motor power coverage across common supply voltages
At 400 V 50 Hz, the starter is rated for 7.5 kW (10 hp) motor load; at 460/480 V it handles 10 hp, and at 575/600 V it also delivers 10 hp. The maximum operational voltage is 690 V AC-3. Current ratings at 480 V and 600 V are 14 A and 11 A respectively, which sets the full-load ampacity for selecting upstream protection and conductor sizing. The supplied contactor is a 3RT2018-1AP62, and the link module is 3RA1921-1DA00 — these are the matched components inside the assembly, so replacement or spare parts are directly traceable.
Panel integration and mounting flexibility
The starter snaps onto a DIN rail or can be screw-mounted using the additional push-in lug. The mounting position is vertical, with 20 mm clearance needed above and 10 mm below for airflow and wiring access. Envelope dimensions are 90 mm wide, 170 mm tall, and 97.1 mm deep — the S00 frame keeps panel density high. Side clearance is 9 mm, and no forward or backward clearance is required beyond the unit itself.
