Reversing starter in one package — what it saves you
The 3RA2215-4AA18-2BB4 is a SIRIUS 3RA2 non-fused reversing motor starter that combines a reversing contactor pair, a Class 10 bimetallic overload relay, and the control wiring into a single S00-frame unit. That means you skip the interlock wiring and separate overload mounting — one part number, one DIN rail clip, one wiring job for forward/reverse motor control. The supplied contactor is a 3RT2018-1BB42 and the link module is 3RA1921-1DA00 — the assembly is factory-tested as a matched set. The 24 V coil keeps control voltage consistent with standard PLC outputs.
Panel fit and mounting — DIN rail or screw
Width is 90 mm, height 170 mm, depth 97.1 mm. Snaps onto DIN rail (standard 35 mm) or can be screw-mounted with the optional push-in lug. Mounting position is vertical only. The clearance envelope: 20 mm above, 10 mm below, 9 mm to the side, zero forward or backward — tight enough for dense cabinets.
Motor ratings — what each voltage tier delivers
Rated for AC-3 switching up to 690 V maximum. At 400 V it handles 7.5 kW; at 460/480 V that becomes 10 hp; at 575/600 V also 10 hp. The 24 V control coil is separate from the main circuit — no shared neutral complications. Operating temperature range is -20 to +60 °C; storage is -50 to +80 °C.
