Reversing starter for motor control panels
The Siemens 3RA2220-0GB23-0AK6 is a non-fused reversing motor starter from the SIRIUS family, size S0, designed to control the direction of three-phase motors in a single package. It integrates a reversing contactor pair, a thermal overload relay (bimetallic, Class 10), and a magnetic short-circuit trip, all pre-assembled and tested. Rated at 180 W at 400 V and 250 W at 690 V, it handles small to medium motor loads where reversing is needed — conveyors, hoists, or pump direction changes.
Mounting and panel fit
Snap-on fastening on 35 mm standard DIN rail (EN 60715) in vertical mounting position. The dimensions — 90 mm wide, 120 mm deep, 265 mm high — fit the S0 feeder size envelope, and the clearance requirements are: 30 mm upwards, 10 mm forwards, 10 mm downwards, 9 mm at the side, and 0 mm backwards. The unit ships with the supplied contactor (3RT2023-1AK60), link module (3RA2921-1AA00), busbar adapter (3RA2922-1AA00), and RH assembly kit (3RA2923-1BB1) — all pre-configured for the reversing function. Main contact wiring accepts stranded 1–10 mm² or 2× (2.5–6 mm²), with AWG equivalents 2× (16–12) and 2× (14–8).
Environmental and compliance
Operating temperature range is -20 to +60 °C; storage range is -50 to +80 °C; transport range is -55 to +80 °C. Pollution degree 3 (conductive pollution or dry non-conductive pollution that becomes conductive due to condensation) per IEC 60947-1. Substance prohibitance date of 03/01/2017 aligns with RoHS compliance. The coil accepts 50/60 Hz control voltages: 88–121 V at 50 Hz, 96–132 V at 60 Hz.
