Non-fused reversing starter, SIRIUS 3RA2
The Siemens 3RA2220-1BB23-0AP6 is a non-fused reversing motor starter from the SIRIUS 3RA2 family, size S0, designed for direct-on-line reversing of three-phase motors up to 750 W at 400 V AC-3 duty. It integrates a supplied 3RT2023-1AP60 contactor, a thermal bimetallic overload relay (Class 10 trip class), and a link module (3RA2921-1AA00) plus busbar adapter (3RA2922-1AA00) in a single assembly — reducing panel wiring and DIN-rail footprint.
DIN-rail fit and clearance envelope
Snap-on fastening on 35 mm standard rail (EN 60715), vertical mounting position only. Dimensions: 90 mm wide, 265 mm high, 120 mm deep — the depth is the panel-space driver, not the width. Clearance requirements: 30 mm upwards, 10 mm forwards, 10 mm downwards, 9 mm at the side, 0 mm backwards. The zero backward clearance means the back of the unit sits flush against the mounting plate — no rear access needed.
Duty ratings and thermal coordination
Rated operational voltage 690 V AC, with AC-3 switching up to 690 V. Full-load current at 480 V is 1.63 A, at 600 V is 1.72 A. The Class 10 thermal overload matches standard IEC motor starting profiles — trips fast enough to protect the motor during a stalled-rotor condition but allows normal acceleration.
