Reversing starter, Size S0, CLASS 10 trip
The 3RA2220-1FF24-0AP0 is a SIRIUS reversing starter from Siemens, assembled in Size S0 with a CLASS 10 trip characteristic. It integrates a contactor and overload relay into one unit for forward/reverse motor control in a single footprint. Rated for AC-3 switching duty up to 690 V, it handles reversing applications on three-phase motors — common for conveyor drives, pump direction changes, and actuator positioning where the load must run in both directions. The supplied contactor is a 3RT2024-2AP00, and the link module is a 3RA2921-2AA00 — both factory-integrated so the reversing interlock is mechanical, not logic-dependent.
Mounting and panel integration
Mounts on a 35 mm DIN rail via an adapter for screw or snap-on fastening, or can be screw-mounted directly to a backplate. The mounting position is vertical, with 50 mm clearance upward, 32 mm forward, 10 mm downward, and 10 mm at the side — plan the enclosure depth and gland plate accordingly. Dimensions are 130 mm deep, 90 mm wide, and 269 mm tall — the width is the tightest axis for DIN-rail spacing in a multi-starter panel. Spring-loaded terminals on the main current circuit reduce wiring time and eliminate the need for torque-checking screw terminals — push the stripped conductor in and the cage clamps it.
Temperature range and environment
Operates from -20 to +60 °C with temperature compensation active across the same range, and can be stored or transported from -50 to +80 °C. This covers most indoor panel environments and unheated warehouse storage.
