11.5 A reversing starter for 60 mm busbars
The 3RA2220-1KD24-0AK6: This is a reversing starter — two contactors interlocked mechanically and electrically, plus a thermal overload relay, all in one assembly. It snaps onto 60 mm busbar systems, not a DIN rail, so the panel layout has to match that busbar pitch. The supplied contactor is a 3RT2024-1AK60; the link module is 3RA2921-1AA00.
Mounting and clearance — busbar snap-on, not DIN rail
Fastening method is for snapping onto 60 mm busbar systems, with a vertical mounting position specified. Clearances: 50 mm upwards, 32 mm forwards, 10 mm downwards, 10 mm at the side, 0 mm backwards — so the back can sit flush against the panel wall. Dimensions are 155 mm deep, 90 mm wide, 260 mm tall. The width is tight for a reversing starter — the two contactors share the S0 frame width. Main circuit terminals are screw-type, so expect a screwdriver for the power wiring.
Design and environmental limits
The overload release is thermal bimetallic; the short-circuit trip is magnetic. Switching contacts are electromechanical — no solid-state here. Operating frequency is 50/60 Hz, with the coil rated 88–121 V at 50 Hz and 96–132 V at 60 Hz. Ambient operating range is -20 to +60 °C; storage and transport range is -50 to +80 °C.
