The 3RA2220-4CD27-0AP6 is a Siemens SIRIUS non-fused reversing motor starter in the S0 size, combining a 3RT2027-1AP60 contactor and a 3RA2921-1AA00 link module with a thermal bimetallic overload relay in one assembly. It snaps directly onto 60 mm busbar systems — no DIN rail adapter needed — saving panel space in reversing duty applications like conveyors, hoists, and door drives.
At 400 V AC-3 duty the starter delivers 11 000 W (11 kW), with a rated current of 22 A at 480 V and 21.9 A at 600 V — these are the motor full-load current ceilings the thermal overload can protect. Horsepower ratings span from 1.5 hp at 110/120 V up to 20 hp at 575/600 V, covering common North American motor frames in a single S0 package. Rated insulation voltage is 690 V, and the pollution degree is 3 — suitable for industrial environments with conductive dust or condensation.

Mounting position is vertical only, with the following minimum clearances to adjacent components: 30 mm upwards, 10 mm forwards, 10 mm downwards, 9 mm at the side, and 0 mm backwards — critical for airflow and arc-fault containment in the panel. Dimensions are 155 mm deep, 90 mm wide, and 260 mm high — the S0 envelope fits standard 200 mm deep enclosures with room for wiring gutters.
