The Siemens 3RA2225-1DD23-0BB4 is a SIRIUS non-fused reversing motor starter in the S0 size, designed to snap directly onto 60 mm busbar systems — no separate mounting plate needed. It ships as a pre-assembled unit with the contactor (3RT2023-1BB40), the thermal bimetallic overload relay, the link module (3RA2921-1BA00), and the busbar adapter (8US1251-5NT10) included — one order code, one assembly.
Class 10 thermal protection and AC-3 duty
The 24 V coil (rated value) means it integrates directly into 24 VDC control circuits common in modern PLC-driven panels — no separate transformer needed for the solenoid.
Panel fit and mounting clearances
Dimensions are 165 mm deep, 90 mm wide, and 260 mm tall — the S0 footprint fits standard 200 mm deep enclosures with room for wiring ducts on the sides. Mounting position is vertical only; minimum clearances around the unit are 30 mm upward, 10 mm forward, 10 mm downward, and 9 mm at the side — plan the gland plate and busbar entry accordingly. Main contact wire range accepts 1 to 10 mm² stranded, or 2× (2.5 to 6 mm²) — enough for the rated currents without oversized lugs.
