Reversing starter in the SIRIUS S0 frame
The 3RA2225-1FB24-0AK6 is a non-fused reversing motor starter from the Siemens SIRIUS family, built in the S0 load feeder size. It combines a 3RT2024-1AK60 contactor with a link module 3RA2921-1AA00 and a circuit-breaker sized S00 — all pre-assembled and tested as a single unit. The 690 V maximum rated value (AC-3) covers 600 V class systems with headroom.
DIN rail integration and clearances
Snap-on fastening on 35 mm standard rail — no tools needed for mounting or removal. Mounting position is vertical only; the 265 mm height, 90 mm width, and 120 mm depth define the panel footprint. Clearance distances: 30 mm upwards, 10 mm forwards, 10 mm downwards, 9 mm at the side, and 0 mm backwards. These are the minimum air gaps to maintain around the enclosure for heat dissipation and arc flash containment — plan the DIN rail layout accordingly. Main contact wire range is 1 to 10 mm² stranded, or 2× (2.5 to 6 mm²) for paralleling conductors. The S0 frame accepts the full range without adapters.
Environmental range and compliance
Operating temperature -20 to +60 °C, storage -50 to +80 °C, transport -55 to +80 °C. The -20 °C floor matters for unheated plant areas; the +60 °C ceiling limits panel ambient before derating is needed. Degree of pollution 3 per IEC 60947-1 — conductive pollution is expected (condensation, occasional dust), so the starter is suited for industrial environments without sealed enclosures.
