The 3RA2316-8XB30-1AK6 is a SIRIUS reversing contactor assembly in size S00, meaning it occupies the same 90 mm wide, 68 mm tall, 73 mm deep footprint as the base contactors it contains. Clearance requirements are minimal: 6 mm upwards, 6 mm downwards, 6 mm to the side, and 0 mm backwards — the back of the unit sits flush against the mounting surface.
Motor ratings and switching duty
At 480 V the rated current is 7.6 A; at 600 V it is 9 A, so the unit handles fractional-to-small integral horsepower motors across the 200–600 V range. Maximum switching frequency is 750 operations per hour in AC-3 duty (also 750/h in AC-3e), which is typical for a reversing contactor in moderate-cycle applications like conveyor direction control.
Supplied contactors and wiring
The assembly ships with two 3RT2016-1AK62 contactors pre-configured for reversing — one for forward, one for reverse, with mechanical interlocking built into the assembly. Main power circuit connections use screw-type terminals; the magnet coil also terminates to screw terminals, so no special tooling is needed for installation or swap-out.
Environmental and mechanical life
Shock resistance is rated at 10.5 g for 5 ms and 6.6 g for 10 ms in both AC and DC directions — adequate for industrial machinery with moderate vibration. Mechanical life of the contactor is 10 million operations typical, which aligns with the S00 frame's expected service interval in reversing duty.
