Reversing contactor assembly for bidirectional motor control
This 3RA2316-8XB30-2AK6 is a SIRIUS reversing contactor assembly — two contactors mechanically interlocked in a single housing, wired to swap two phases for forward/reverse motor direction control. It's built around a pair of 3RT2016-2AK62 contactors (size S00) and ships as a pre-assembled unit, saving the panel builder the wiring and interlock work of ganging two separate contactors. The 90 mm width and 83 mm depth keep it compact on a 35 mm DIN rail; you can fit several side-by-side without blowing past the enclosure fill factor.
Termination and wiring — spring-loaded main circuit, screw-type coil
The magnet coil, however, terminates on spring-type terminals, so the control wiring gets the same push-in convenience. Mounting position is flexible: the assembly can be rotated ±180° on a vertical surface and tilted forward/backward ±22.5°. That helps when the panel layout forces an odd orientation — but keep the clearance zones: 6 mm upwards, forwards, and sideways, and 0 mm backwards. The zero-clearance rear face means you can push it against the backplane without extra spacing.
