Reversing contactor assembly — two 3RT2016-2FB42 contactors in one package
The Siemens 3RA2316-8XB30-2FB4 is a SIRIUS reversing contactor assembly built from two 3RT2016-2FB42 contactors, mechanically and electrically interlocked for forward/reverse motor control. It saves panel space versus wiring two separate contactors and avoids the risk of both coils pulling in simultaneously. The 24 VDC coil (spring-type terminals) pulls in reliably across the operating range of -25 to +60 °C, and the assembly manages 750 switching cycles per hour in AC-3 and AC-3e duty.
Spring terminals and DIN-rail mounting — no screw torque to check
No screw terminals to retorque after thermal cycling, which saves a step during panel commissioning and maintenance. Fastens onto 35 mm DIN rail with screw or snap-on mounting. Dimensions are 90 mm wide × 84 mm high × 83 mm deep (size S00 contactor frame). The required clearance around the assembly: 6 mm upwards, forwards, downwards, and to the side; 0 mm backwards — so it can sit flush against the back panel.
This is not a surplus or obsolete part — it ships as a current-production Siemens assembly.
