The AC-3 duty cycle maxes out at 750 operations per hour, which is typical for reversing starters in conveyor or pump applications — you're not cycling a reversing contactor that fast in most panels, but the spec confirms it can handle rapid reversing if needed.
Mounting and wiring — what fits in the panel
Size S00 frame, 90 mm wide, 84 mm high, 83 mm deep — it takes up one standard DIN-rail module width. The spring-clamp holds solid and ferruled stranded alike; no torquing needed, just push in and it grips. Clearance around the unit: 6 mm upwards, forwards, downwards, and to the side; 0 mm backwards — you can mount it flush against the back panel.
Supplied contactors and coil voltage
The assembly ships with two contactors: one 3RT2016-2BB42-0CC0 and one 3RT2016-2BB42. Both are size S00, rated for the same motor power, and wired as a mechanical and electrical reversing pair — no extra interlocking hardware to source. Coil voltage is 24 V DC — standard for control panels with a 24 VDC bus. The coil terminals are spring-loaded, same as the main circuit, so wiring the control loop is consistent across the assembly.
Environmental limits and mechanical endurance
That covers most indoor panel environments and unheated storage. Shock resistance: 10.5 g for 5 ms and 6.6 g for 10 ms on both AC and DC axes — rated for industrial vibration typical of motor starters in pump and conveyor service.
