Reversing contactor assembly — two contactors in one package
The 3RA2318-8XB30-1BW4 is a Siemens SIRIUS reversing contactor assembly, S00 frame size, combining two 3RT2018-1BW42 contactors in a single pre-assembled unit with a mechanical interlock. The S00 contactor size keeps the footprint compact: 90 mm wide, 68 mm tall, 73 mm deep — fits standard 35 mm DIN rail panels without oversizing the enclosure.
Termination and wiring — screw terminals throughout
AWG equivalents for the main contacts are 2x (20...16) and 2x (18...14), covering typical motor feeder and control wiring in North American panels.
Ambient limits and vibration tolerance
Vibration resistance at 11.4 g for 5 ms and 7.3 g for 10 ms, same for AC and DC — the contactor holds its state through the shock profile typical of machine-mounted panels near presses or crushers. Storage range -55 °C to +80 °C covers unheated warehouses and shipping containers; the wider storage window compared to operation is normal for electromechanical devices.
