The 3RA2318-8XB30-2AF0 is a pre-assembled reversing contactor assembly from the Siemens SIRIUS family, size S00. It ships with two 3RT2018-2AF02 contactors already wired for reversing duty — one for forward, one for reverse — saving panel build time and wiring errors. The AC-4 rating is the one to watch for reversing applications where the contactor breaks full-load current during direction change.
DIN-rail mounting and terminal details
Clearance requirements: 6 mm upwards, forwards, and to the sides; 0 mm backwards (flush to the rail). The magnet coil also terminates on spring-type terminals — no screw torque to verify, just strip and push.
