DIN rail reversing contactor — SIRIUS size S0
The Siemens 3RA2324-8XB30-1AL2 is a SIRIUS reversing contactor assembly, size S0. It ships with one 3RT2024-1AL20 contactor pre-mounted and wired for reversing duty — the second contactor is ordered separately if needed. For the North American panel, that translates to 3 hp at 230 V, 7.5 hp at 480 V, and 10 hp at 600 V.
Envelope is 90 mm wide, 101 mm high, 97 mm deep. Clearance: 6 mm upwards, forwards, downwards, and to the side; 0 mm backwards — it can sit flush against the backplane.
Terminals and wiring — screw-type, dual-wire capacity
The magnet coil also terminates with screw terminals. Rated mechanical life of the contactor is 10 million operations. Maximum switching frequency in AC-3 and AC-3e duty is 1,000 operations per hour.
Environmental and shock ratings
Withstands 11.8 g / 5 ms (AC) and 15 g / 5 ms (DC) shock — relevant for machine-mounted panels near presses or conveyors.
