Integrator note: what this reversing contactor assembly delivers
The Siemens 3RA2325-8XB30-1AC2 is a factory-assembled reversing contactor assembly in the SIRIUS family, Size S0. It ships with two 3RT2025-1AC20 contactors mechanically interlocked — one per direction of rotation — so you get built-in anti-overlap protection for motor reversing without wiring external interlocks. Rated at 7.5 kW at 400 V AC-3, 14 A at 480 V, and 17 A at 600 V, it handles reversing duty on three-phase induction motors up to 15 hp at 575/600 V. The coil pulls 24 V at 50 Hz and 24 V at 60 Hz, so it works on a standard 24 V control supply regardless of line frequency. Two instantaneous auxiliary contacts (2 NO + 2 NC) are integrated — enough to feed a PLC input for direction feedback or to seal in the control circuit without an add-on block.
The Size S0 footprint (90 mm wide, 101 mm high, 97 mm deep) fits a standard 8-module DIN-rail slot. Clearance: 6 mm upwards, downwards, and sideways; 0 mm backwards — so it can sit flush against the back panel. Main circuit terminals accept 2x (1 … 2.5 mm²) solid or 2x (0.5 … 1.5 mm²) stranded; the coil terminals are screw-type. The magnet coil uses screw-type terminals as well, so no special tooling is needed for panel wiring. This helps when routing cables in a crowded enclosure.
