What this reversing contactor assembly is
The Siemens 3RA2325-8XB30-2AG2 is a SIRIUS reversing contactor assembly — a pre-assembled pair of contactors with mechanical interlock that swaps two of the three phases to reverse a three-phase motor. It ships with two 3RT2025-2AG20 contactors already mounted and wired on a common base plate, saving panel build time over sourcing and interlocking individual contactors.
Power ratings that decide the motor fit
At 480 V it carries 14 A; at 600 V it carries 17 A.
Mounting and panel integration
Clearance requirements: 6 mm upwards, forwards, downwards, and to the side; 0 mm backwards (-). The 90 mm width, 114 mm height, and 97 mm depth fit standard S0 contactor panel layouts.
Terminals and wiring
The magnet coil uses spring-type terminals; the main current circuit uses spring-loaded terminals. Two instantaneous auxiliary contacts are built in — one NO per direction of rotation.
Environmental and mechanical endurance
Operates from -25 to +60 °C; stores from -55 to +80 °C. Shock resistance: 11.8 g / 5 ms and 7.4 g / 10 ms on AC; 15 g / 5 ms and 10 g / 10 ms on DC. Mechanical life of the contactor is 10 million operations typical — this is the base contactor rating, not the assembly's cycle life under load, which depends on the switching duty.
Lifecycle and sourcing
Listed as current production.
