The 3RA2325-8XD30-1DG4 is a Siemens SIRIUS reversing contactor assembly — a pre-wired pair of 3RT2025-1BG40 contactors with mechanical and electrical interlocking built in, so a single order code delivers the reversing pair instead of sourcing two contactors and a separate interlock kit. The assembly includes a varistor surge suppressor across the coil, which clips voltage transients from the switching edge — saves adding a separate RC snubber on the panel layout.
Panel fit — Size S0, 107 mm deep, screw and snap-on mounting
Size S0 frame: 90 mm wide, 101 mm tall, 107 mm deep — fits the standard S0 cutout on a DIN-rail panel and leaves room alongside other S0 devices for busbar bridging. Clearance spacing: 6 mm upwards, forwards, downwards, and to the side; 0 mm backwards — the back of the contactor can sit flush against the panel backplate, saving depth in a shallow enclosure.
Wire terminations — screw-type for main and coil circuits
AWG equivalents for the main contacts: 2x (16…12) solid and 2x (14…8) stranded — covers the range from 1.5 mm² control wiring up to 10 mm² motor feeders. The magnet coil uses screw-type terminals as well — consistent tooling across the assembly, no push-in or spring-cage on the coil circuit.
Environment and mechanical life
Shock withstand: 11.8 g / 5 ms and 7.4 g / 10 ms on AC; 15 g / 5 ms and 10 g / 10 ms on DC — the DC coil version takes higher shock, but this assembly uses AC coils in the supplied contactors, so the AC figures apply. Mechanical life of the contactor typical is 10 million operations — well into the range for frequent reversing applications like conveyor shuttles or hoist direction changes.
