The Siemens 3RA2335-8XB30-1AP6 is a SIRIUS reversing contactor assembly — a pre-wired pair of contactors with mechanical interlock that reverses a three-phase motor's direction without external logic. It ships with two 3RT2035-1AG20 contactors already mounted and interlocked on a common base plate. The assembly is rated 18.5 kW at 400 V AC-3, 22 kW at 500 V, and 22 kW at 690 V, so it covers standard 400 V and 690 V industrial motor loads up to that power band. At 480 V it carries 40 A; at 600 V it carries 41 A. For North American duty, it's rated 15 hp at 220/230 V, 30 hp at 460/480 V, and 40 hp at 575/600 V. The assembly occupies a S2 contactor footprint — 141 mm high, 120 mm wide, 130 mm deep — and mounts via screw or snap-on onto 35 mm DIN rail. Mechanical switching frequency is rated at 1 000 cycles per hour for AC-3 and AC-3e duty.
Wiring and integration
That covers most motor feeder cables up to around 35 mm² for the line and load sides, with the larger 50 mm² terminal available for a common bus or feed-through. The assembly includes two instantaneous auxiliary contacts. Clearance distances: 10 mm upwards, forwards, downwards, and to the side; 0 mm backwards (the DIN rail side). These are the minimum air gaps to adjacent metalwork or other devices — useful when calculating panel fill factor. The assembly is rated for vibration at 18.5 g for 5 ms and 11.6 g for 10 ms (AC sine), which is typical for industrial panel mounting on a machine frame.
