Supplied as a complete reversing assembly
The 3RA2336-8XB30-1KB4 is a Siemens SIRIUS reversing contactor assembly — a factory-built pair of contactors with mechanical interlock, shipped as one orderable unit. It includes two 3RT2036-1KB40 contactors and the 3RA2933-2AA1 reversing assembly kit, so you do not need to source and assemble the interlock hardware separately.
Motor power and current ratings across common voltages
At 480 V the assembly carries 52 A, and at 600 V it also carries 52 A. The AC-4 rating at 400 V is also 22 kW, covering reversing and inching duty where the contactor opens under stalled-rotor current.
Mounting flexibility and panel footprint
The S2-size contactor assembly measures 141 mm high by 120 mm wide by 130 mm deep. It mounts on 35 mm standard DIN rail via screw and snap-on fastening. Clearance requirements: 10 mm upwards, forwards, downwards, and to the side; zero clearance needed backwards.
Terminal capacity and wire ranges
The wide wire range on the main terminals covers both panel-building with standard cable and retrofit work where existing conductors are larger.
Environmental limits and surge suppression
Operates from -25 to +60 °C, stores from -55 to +80 °C. The built-in surge suppressor uses a varistor — no separate suppressor module to order or mount. Vibration resistance is 12g at 5 ms and 7g at 10 ms DC, adequate for machine-mounted panels near presses or conveyors. The coil is rated 24 V DC.
