Reversing contactor assembly — two contactors, one interlock
The 3RA2345-8XB30-1NB3 is a Siemens SIRIUS reversing contactor assembly — a pre-wired pair of 3RT2045-1NB30 contactors with a mechanical interlock, sized for reversing motor loads up to 37 kW at 400 V AC-3. Rated 77 A at 480 V and 62 A at 600 V, it covers 60 hp at both 460/480 V and 575/600 V — a single assembly that handles the common North American motor frames without a separate contactor pair.
Mounting and panel fit — DIN rail with rotation freedom
Dimensions are 152 mm deep, 150 mm wide, 160 mm high (Size S3 frame). Clearance around the unit: 10 mm upwards, forwards, downwards, and to the side; 0 mm backwards — the back face can sit flush against the panel backplate.
Termination and wiring — screw terminals throughout
Both the main current circuit and the magnet coil use screw-type terminals. Two instantaneous auxiliary contacts are built in (no separate add-on block needed for basic reversing interlock feedback).
Duty cycle and environmental limits
Rated for 1 000 switching operations per hour in AC-3 and AC-3e duty — this is the maximum mechanical switching rate, not the thermal current limit. Mechanical life is 10 000 000 operations typical. Withstands 10.6 g / 5 ms and 6.3 g / 10 ms shock (half-sine) — sufficient for most industrial panel environments.
