Star-delta starter in a pre-assembled S00 frame
The Siemens 3RA2415-8XE31-1BB4 is a factory-assembled star-delta (wye-delta) contactor assembly from the SIRIUS family, built around three S00-frame contactors: one 3RT2015-1BB41-0CC0 and two 3RT2015-1BB41 units. It's designed to reduce inrush current on three-phase motors during startup — the motor connects in star for the start sequence, then transitions to delta for full-load running. The assembly includes the RS kit (3RA2913-2BB1) and the interlocking wiring, so you don't have to piece together the star-delta logic from loose contactors.
Mounting and panel fit — screw or snap-on
Dimensions are 145 mm deep, 135 mm wide, 68 mm high; clearance around the unit is 6 mm on all sides except the back (0 mm), so plan for side breathing space. Terminals are screw-type on both main and auxiliary/control circuits. AWG equivalents are 2x (20…16) and 2x (18…14). The magnet coil is rated 24 V DC with a closing and holding power of 10 W — consistent with standard PLC-level control voltage.
