Star-delta contactor assembly — what ships inside
The 3RA2416-8XE31-1BB4: This is a pre-assembled star-delta (wye-delta) starter kit in the SIRIUS S00 frame size. It ships with three individual contactors: two 3RT2017-1BB41 units (one with a -0CC0 suffix) and one 3RT2015-1BB41, plus the RS assembly kit 3RA2913-2BB1. The assembly handles the timed switching sequence from star to delta without external interlocking wiring — the mechanical interlock and timing are built into the package. These are the selection ceilings for the driven load — match the motor nameplate power at the line voltage, not the contactor's own thermal current.
Mounting and panel fit
Physical envelope is 68 mm high, 135 mm wide, 145 mm deep — check the panel depth clearance before committing the layout. Clearance around the unit: 6 mm upwards, forwards, downwards, and to the side; 0 mm backwards (the back sits flush against the mounting surface). This keeps the enclosure layout tight without starving airflow.
Termination and upstream protection
Main current circuit and auxiliary/control circuit both use screw-type terminals. The magnet coil is also screw-terminated, rated 24 V DC with a closing and holding power of 10 W. Upstream fuse requirement: gG NH 3NA, DIAZED 5SB, or NEOZED 5SE at 20 A. This is the coordination ceiling for the assembly — don't oversize the branch protection beyond this without checking the short-circuit withstand.
