What this assembly is and what it contains
The Siemens SIRIUS 3RA2417-8XF31-1BB4 is a factory-assembled star-delta (wye-delta) contactor assembly. It ships with three contactors: two 3RT2018-1BB41 units for the line and delta legs, and one 3RT2016-1BB41 for the star leg, plus the 3RA2913-2BB1 RS assembly kit with the interlocking and timing hardware already integrated. The assembly is rated for 11 kW motor loads at 400 V, 500 V, or 690 V AC-3 duty — same power across all three voltages, which is typical for a Size S00 contactor block. The coil pulls 24 V DC, with a closing and holding power of 10 W.
Dimensions are 135 mm wide, 68 mm high, and 145 mm deep. Clearance requirements: 6 mm upwards, forwards, downwards, and to the sides; 0 mm backwards.
Main current circuit, auxiliary and control circuits, and the magnet coil all use screw-type terminals. Main contacts accept solid or stranded conductors: 2x (0.5 to 1.5 mm²), 2x (0.75 to 2.5 mm²), or 2x 4 mm². AWG equivalents for the main contacts are 2x (20 to 16) and 2x (18 to 14). For AC-3 motor protection, the assembly requires gG NH 3NA, DIAZED 5SB, or NEOZED 5SE fuses rated at 25 A. The assembly carries three instantaneous contacts and no auxiliary switch or bus communication module.
