The Siemens SIRIUS 3RA2423-8XE32-2BB4 is a factory-assembled star-delta (wye-delta) contactor assembly for starting three-phase motors. It comes as a complete unit: three 3RT2024 contactors (two 3RT2024-2BB40, one 3RT2024-2BB40-0CC0) plus the 3RA2923-2BB2 RS assembly kit, all on a common mounting plate. The 24 VDC coil is controlled via spring-loaded terminals on both the main and auxiliary circuits. Rated for AC-3 motor duty, it delivers 11 kW at 400 V, 15.6 kW at 500 V, and 19 kW at 690 V. The 24 VDC coil draws 13.8 W closing power — a standard control voltage that plays well with PLC outputs and safety relays. The assembly is sized in the S0 contactor frame, so it fits the same panel footprint as a single S0 contactor plus the RS kit.
Clearance around the assembly: 6 mm upwards, forwards, and to the sides; 0 mm backwards — meaning it can sit flush against the back panel. The spring-loaded terminals accept 2x (1 to 10 mm²) solid or 2x (0.5 to 2.5 mm²) stranded on the main circuit; control wiring uses the same spring-clamp technology. Strip length is standard for spring terminals.
The assembly requires external overload protection. Siemens recommends gG NH 3NA, DIAZED 5SB, or NEOZED 5SE fuses rated at 25 A for the main circuit. No auxiliary switch or bus communication module is included — this is a standalone motor-starting assembly.
