The 3RA2423-8XF32-1AC2 is a SIRIUS star-delta (wye-delta) contactor assembly for reduced-voltage starting of three-phase motors. It ships with three 3RT2024-1AC20 contactors and an RS assembly kit 3RA2923-2BB1 — a complete, pre-configured transition set for the S0 contactor frame size. The coil terminals are screw-type, same as the main and auxiliary circuits — all wiring lands on screw clamps, no push-in or spring-cage option on this variant. Mechanical life is rated at 10,000,000 operations — the contactor block itself is the wear item, not the assembly frame.
Mounting and integration: DIN rail, clearances, orientation
Overall dimensions: 101 mm height, 135 mm width, 171 mm depth — the depth is the dimension from the rail foot to the front of the coil terminals, so budget at least 180 mm enclosure depth for wiring clearance. Clearance requirements: 6 mm upwards, forwards, downwards, and to the side; 0 mm backwards (the rail foot is flush). The mounting position is flexible — the assembly can be rotated ±180° on a vertical mounting surface, and tilted forward or backward by ±22.5° on a vertical surface. This matters for panels where the rail is angled or the enclosure has a sloped backplate. AWG equivalents: main 2x (16... 12) or 2x (14... 8). The coil terminals are screw-type as well — no special tooling needed beyond a standard screwdriver.

The 60 °C ceiling is typical for panel-mounted contactor gear — above that, derate the motor current per the contactor's thermal curve, though this assembly is pre-sized for the 11 kW load. Shock resistance: 11.8 g at 5 ms and 7.4 g at 10 ms for AC operation; 15 g at 5 ms and 10 g at 10 ms for DC. These are half-sine pulse ratings — relevant for transport and installation on vibrating machinery (conveyors, compressors) where the panel sees mechanical shock.
