Star-delta contactor assembly — what's in the box
The 3RA2425-8XF32-1AL2 is a Siemens SIRIUS pre-assembled star-delta (wye-delta) contactor assembly. It ships with three contactors: two 3RT2026-1AL20 units for the line and delta legs, and one 3RT2024-1AL20 for the star leg. Rated at 15 kW at 400 V AC-3, it handles motor starting up to 690 V AC-3 maximum. The S0 frame size keeps the footprint compact for panel layouts where every millimeter counts. All power and control connections use screw-type terminals — no special tooling needed for field wiring.
Motor power across voltage rails
At 400 V rated value, the assembly delivers 15 kW. Step up to 500 V and it handles 19 kW; at 690 V it also holds 19 kW. Mechanical life is 10 million operations typical. The maximum switching rate at AC-3 is 1,000 cycles per hour — enough for frequent-start applications like conveyors or pumps that cycle on load.
Wiring capacity and clearance
Dimensions are 101 mm high, 135 mm wide, 171 mm deep. Clearance requirements: 6 mm upwards, forwards, downwards, and to the side; 0 mm backwards — it can sit flush against the back panel. Shock resistance is 11.8 g / 5 ms and 7.4 g / 10 ms for AC, 15 g / 5 ms and 10 g / 10 ms for DC.
Lifecycle and compliance
The assembly includes an RS assembly kit (3RA2923-2BB1) and does not come with an auxiliary switch extension.
