Star-delta contactor assembly, S3 frame

The Siemens 3RA2444-8XF32-1AP0 is a pre-assembled SIRIUS contactor assembly for star-delta (wye-delta) motor starting. It ships with three contactors: two 3RT2045-1AP00 units for the line and delta legs, and one 3RT2035-1AP00 for the star leg. Rated at 55 kW at 400 V AC-3 (90 kW at 690 V), this assembly handles the starting current transition without external interlocking wiring — the mechanical interlock is built into the supplied RS assembly kit 3RA2943-2C.

Mounting and panel fit

Clearance around the assembly: 10 mm upwards, forwards, downwards, and to the side; zero clearance backwards.

Wiring and compliance

AWG main contacts accept 2x (10... 1/0) or 1x (10... 2/0). The coil draws 0.38 A at 50 Hz (594 VA at 60 Hz). Substance prohibitance date is 03/01/2017 (RoHS compliance). No auxiliary switch or bus communication extension fitted on this variant.
