The Siemens 3RA2446-8XF32-1AG2 is a factory-assembled SIRIUS contactor assembly for star-delta (wye-delta) motor starting. It ships with three contactors: two 3RT2046-1AG20 units and one 3RT2037-1AG20, plus the 3RA2943-2C RS assembly kit. Rated at 90 kW at 400 V and 132 kW at 690 V, this S3-frame assembly handles the higher starting torque demand of pumps, compressors, and conveyors while reducing inrush current during the wye phase.
Panel fit and mounting flexibility
Clearance requirements are 10 mm upward, 10 mm forward, 10 mm downward, and 10 mm at the side; zero clearance needed backward — useful when the panel back wall is tight. All power and control terminations use screw-type terminals.
Operating conditions and compliance
The assembly operates in ambient temperatures from -25 to +60 °C and can be stored from -55 to +80 °C. The mechanical life of the typical contactor is rated at 10,000,000 operations, with a maximum AC-3 operating frequency of 850 cycles per hour. Shock resistance is specified at 10.6 g / 5 ms and 6.3 g / 10 ms. Vibration resistance at 50 Hz is 0.35 g and at 60 Hz is 0.41 g. No auxiliary switch or bus communication module is included — the design keeps the control circuit simple.
