Star-delta contactor assembly — 90 kW at 400 V, Size S3
The Siemens 3RA2446-8XF32-1AL2 is a factory-assembled star-delta (wye-delta) contactor assembly from the SIRIUS family, built around three supplied contactors: two 3RT2046-1AL20 and one 3RT2037-1AL20, plus the 3RA2943-2C RS assembly kit.
Mounting and integration — DIN rail, screw terminals, flexible positioning
All main, auxiliary, and control circuit connections use screw-type terminals — no special tooling needed for field wiring. Dimensions are 244 mm deep, 220 mm wide, and 180 mm high. Clearance requirements: 10 mm upward, 10 mm forward, 10 mm downward, 10 mm to the side, and 0 mm backward — the back can sit flush against the panel.
Duty ratings and operating conditions
Rated for AC-3 duty up to 690 V with a maximum switching frequency of 850 operations per hour. Mechanical life of the contactor is rated at 10 million operations typical. The assembly withstands vibration at 10.6 g / 5 ms and 6.3 g / 10 ms (at AC), suitable for industrial environments with moderate shock loads.
