IO-Link direct-start module for Sirius contactors
The 3RA2711-2AA00 is a Sirius function module that adds IO-Link communication and direct-start capability to Siemens 3RT20…-…..-0CC0 contactors. Control supply is 24 V DC, and the auxiliary and control circuits terminate through spring-loaded terminals — no screwdriver needed for wiring, and the terminals are removable for pre-wiring off the rail.
Contactor sizing and mounting flexibility
Dimensions are 45 mm wide by 39 mm high by 75 mm deep, matching the contactor footprint so the assembled starter occupies a single modular width on the DIN rail.
Environmental ratings and vibration tolerance
Rated for industrial environments with pollution degree 3 and EMC immunity per IEC 60947-1 ambience A (industrial sector). Electrostatic discharge withstand is 8 kV per IEC 61000-4-2, and vibration resistance is 10–55 Hz at 0.35 mm amplitude — sufficient for most panel-mounted applications near conveyors or pumps. Installation altitude is limited to 2000 m above sea level without derating.
Wiring and conductor sizing
Spring-loaded terminals accept one or two conductors per clamp, each 0.25 to 1.5 mm² with or without ferrule. For AWG, two 24–16 AWG wires fit per terminal. The removable terminal block lets you pre-wire the control loop off the panel and snap it in during commissioning.
