The 3RA2712-2BB00 is a Siemens Sirius AS-i basic module designed specifically for reversing starter configurations — it handles the control logic and communication for a reversing contactor pair without needing a separate PLC I/O slice on the fieldbus. It operates on a 24 V DC control supply and communicates directly over the AS-Interface bus, so the reversing function is commanded through the AS-i master rather than hardwired interlock relays. The module snaps onto S00, S0, S2, or S3 contactors — you pick the contactor frame based on motor FLA, and this module adds the reversing control and bus interface in one package.
