AS-i star-delta function module for SIRIUS contactors
The Siemens 3RA2712-2CA00 is a SIRIUS function module that converts a standard contactor assembly into an AS-i networked star-delta starter. Control power is 24 V DC supplied through the AS-i bus interface, eliminating a separate control transformer for the starter logic. The module integrates a varistor surge suppressor and meets EMC immunity for industrial environments per IEC 60947-1, ambience A.
Termination and panel fit
All auxiliary and control connections use spring-loaded terminals accepting 1x or 2x conductors from 0.25 to 1.5 mm², with or without ferrule. The removable terminal block can be pre-wired off the rail. Dimensions are 45 mm wide by 39 mm high by 75 mm deep. The module mounts in any position and provides IP20 finger-safe touch protection on the front. Pollution degree 3 rating means it tolerates conductive dust in industrial enclosures.
Environmental and compliance
Vibration resistance is 10 to 55 Hz at 0.35 mm amplitude, shock resistance 11 g for 15 ms. EMC compliance covers both emitted interference (CISPR11, ambience A) and immunity, including 8 kV electrostatic discharge and 10 V/m field-based interference.
