Star-delta timing module for SIRIUS motor starters
The Siemens 3RA2816-0EW20 is a SIRIUS function module designed to add a star-delta timing function to a motor starter assembly. It comprises a basic module and two coupling modules, integrating directly into the SIRIUS system without additional wiring. The adjustable time range is 0.5 to 60 seconds, with a recovery time of 150 ms between switching cycles, making it suitable for controlling the star-to-delta transition in motor starting applications.
Control supply and switching behaviour
The supply influence is ±2 %. It provides a delayed switching function with two delayed break contacts, and the initial value is 0.85 with a full-scale value of 1.1. There is no ON-delay or OFF-delay function — the delay is specific to the star-delta transition.
Mounting and environmental ratings
The module clips onto a DIN rail (clip-on fastening method) and can be mounted in any position, matching the contactor orientation. Dimensions are 45 mm width, 74 mm depth, and 38 mm height, with zero clearance required on all sides. The degree of pollution is rated 3, with basic insulation type.
